The starting point
Adventure Mae Salong runs guided motorcycle rides and scooter rental in Mae Salong, northern Thailand. Customers needed to book and pay online, and each ride has a limit on how many riders it can take.
Setting up availability one day at a time was too much work, so every ride needed to open for booking by itself, with a way to close or change single days.
What we built
We built the booking system. The rest of the website was already in place.
- A booking system built as a custom WordPress plugin.
- Four bookable experiences: Off Road and On Road guided rides, hourly Jungle Blitz slots and scooter rental for hotel partners.
- A simple flow: day, seats, details and pickup point, terms, then card payment.
- A rolling seven-day availability strip.
- One rule per ride sets the time and the maximum seats, and every day opens automatically. Single days can be closed or changed.
- Stripe card payments checked on the server. A day can never be overbooked, and a payment that misses the last seat is refunded automatically.
- Seats free up again when a booking is cancelled or refunded.
- A confirmation email for the customer and an alert for the owner with the pickup point.
